A.C. 12hp, 16hp A.C. produced the 12hp from 1918-24 using an Anzani 4-cylinder 1478cc engine, or with their own 2-litre 6-cylinder engine (16hp) from 1922. There were two specifications, 'Empire' as a lower-priced option, and 'Royal' as a more upmarket model. The 6-cylinder model employed John Weller's 'Light Six' engine which was an alloy unit with chain-driven overhead cam. All was very advanced, and this 2-litre unit gave 40bhp in 1921, but was upgraded to 100bhp by 1963. |
