Wolseley 15/60, 16/60
The first of the ADO9 cars was the Wolseley 15/60 in December 1958. Although Pinin Farina had produced the body design, it was Sid Goble who did the 'badge engineering'. Wolseley had already used the 1498cc B-series engine in the outgoing Wolseley 15/50, but the chassis was pure Austin Cambridge A50. The Wolseley 15/60 only got the same engine as the Austin and Morris versions, rather than the tuned MG/Riley unit. In 1961 All models were upgraded with the 1622cc B-series engine for the ADO 38 facelift, creating the Wolseley 16/60 with rounded rear fins and new lights.
