Alvis 12/70
The 12/70 took over from the Firebird as the small 4-cylinder Alvis. It was a based on the 6-cylinder Silver Crest and had a new 1842cc ohv engine. Mulliner supplied Saloon and Tourer bodies but others were available. Early 12/70 had a mesh grille that was not liked and later cars returned to vertical bars. After the war the 12/70 design was rekindled and lightly modified to become the Alvis TA 14
