Alvis Silver Crest
There was a 6-cylinder 2148cc version of the Firebird called the 'Alvis Sixteen' in 1934 and renamed the Alvis Silver Eagle for the 1935 2362cc version. These cars were replaced by the 4-cylinder 12/70 and the 6-cylinder 'Seventeen' and 'Silver Crest'. Both these new engines were designed by George Lanchester. The Seventeen had a 6-cylinder 2362cc engine and the Silver Crest a 2762cc version of the same engine.
