Alvis Speed 20, Speed 25
The Alvis Speed 20 was launched in 1932 as a dashing new SA 19.82 car, low slung and with a 2511cc 6-cylinder triple carb engine to match its looks. The SB 19.82 model launched in 1933 had a revised chassis with better suspension and gearbox and a longer bonnet making the car more elegant. The engine was enlarged to 2762cc for the 1934 SC 19.82 model, and for 1936 the SD 19.82 model was available with a longer chassis. In 1935 a new 3571cc 6-cylinder engine was available for the new 3½litre Alvis, but this could also be ordered in Speed 20 specification as the 'Alvis Speed 25'.
