Armstrong Siddeley fourteen When launched in 1923, the Armstrong-Siddeley Four Fourteen was the smallest car of their range. The Fourteen was given an 1852cc ohv engine, and was first offered with an open tourer body and later 2-seater with dickey, saloon, landaulette. I925 a Mark Two model was offered with a new chassis and brakes on four wheels, and more choice in coachwork. The Four Fourteen was sold until 1929, by which time there were both 12 hp and 15 hp cars in production. In 1936 the 1666cc Armstrong Siddeley Twelve Plus was revised with a new clutch and sold as the Armstrong-Siddeley Fourteen until 1939 by which time 3750 Twelve Plus and Fourteens had been produced. |
