Armstrong Siddeley Twenty
Armstrong-Siddeley launched the Twenty in 1928 with the 2872cc inline 6-cylinder engine carried over from the 18hp. There were short (10ft wheelbase) and long (10ft 9inch wheelbase) variants, but most carried coachwork by Armstrong-Siddeley's own coachbuilder Burlingtons. Most cars were fitted with the Wilson pre-selector gearbox. The engine was enlarged to 3190cc and production continued until 1935 by which time 8847 had been sold.

Armstrong-Siddeley Long 20 1935 - ornament. JD Siddeley adopted the Spinx ornament after hearing a journalist describe an Armstrong Siddeley on road test as 'as silent and inscrutable as the Sphinx'. With that he commissioned an artist to create the ornament.
