In 1957 a new Fisher body was developed for GM's B-body cars, and shared between the Buick Special, Buick Century and Oldsmobile 88. They were built on the 122-inch B-body. The Series 70 Roadmaster and Series 50 Super were built on a 127.5-inch C-body shared with Cadillac Series 62. There was a new Roadmaster 75, built as a Roadmaster Riviera hardtops loaded with every conceivable extras. Ned Nickles gave the 1958 Buicks are much squarer look ahead of the new 1959 body.

The grille contained 160 chrome squares to catch the light, and new quad lamps sat above. Missing from the front wings in 1958 were the 3 'ventiports'.
