GM gave its B-body cars new styling for 1965, with coke bottle waistlines. Two-door hardtops were given more dramatic fastback lines, applied also to Chevrolet and Pontiac models. The LeSabre was sold as a 4-door sedan, 2-door fastback coupe, 4-door hardtop or convertible, all built on 123-inches. There was a facelift for 1966, and the 4.9-litre (300) V8 was dropped for the 5.6-litre (340). The 1967 LeSabre shared its revised GM B-body with the Chevrolet Impala (119-inches). Pontiac Catalina (121-inches) and Pontiac Bonnevile (124-inches), but underneath was the same. New grilles for 1968 and a replacement 5.7-litre (350) V8 in place of the 340. The fastback was gone from the 1969 restyle, with more formal square rooflines. The appearance was hardly altered for 1970, but a new 7.5-litre (455) engine was an option in the LeSabre 455 model. A new fourth generation LeSabre was launched for 1971.
