In 1926 Cadillac produced a new 5,152cc (314) V8 engine and the car was named as the 'Series 314' (from its engine size) on a 132-inch chassis. The Series 341 was launched in 1928 with the V8 enlarged to 5,588cc (341) and the chassis lengthened to 140-inches. Harley J. Earl was working at Fisher Body so most of the Series 300 Cadillacs carried his styling. The Series 341B was sold in 1929 with only modest changes. For 1930 the V8 was enlarged to 5,785cc (353) and sold as the Series 353, still on 140-inches. A Series 355 model was brought out with the same engine but on a shorter 134-inch wheelbase. THe Series 355 continued until the Model 70 was introduced in 1936.
