Cadillac deVille 1971 - 1976
Cadillac produced new 130-inch GM C-body designs for the 1971 Cadillacs. For 1972 there was a modest restyle, but for 1973 there was the need to incorporate energy absorbing bumpers. Engines offered were the 7729cc (472) 3785 bhp V8 and from 1975 the 8,194cc (500) 210 bhp V8 replaced the 472 to comply with Federal emissions regulations. A new model was brought out in 1977, but the Calais name was then dropped and only the 'deVille' name was used. The 1977 Cadillacs also shrunk to 121.5-inch wheelbase.
