The new 1929 Series AC International had the 'Stovebolt Six' 3,180cc ohv engine which survived until 1955. The Series AD Universal replaced the International after 850,000 were sold in 1930, with 46bhp and hydraulic shock absorbers being added, but sales of the Series AD were down to 640,000.
