Chrysler manufactured Plymouth and Desoto cars in Canada for that market, but also as right hand drive versions that were knocked down into CKD kits then assembled in London as Chrysler Wimbledon and Chrysler Kew. By this way the cars got around import tariffs and taxations and the Canadian cars had Commonwealth advantages on the British market.
