1961 was the final year for the Windsors and for the 'Forward Look' as Virgil Exner no longer influenced Chrysler design. New for 1961 was a unibody platform on 122-inches, and there was a 6,277cc (383) Hemi V8 engine. There were only three bodies for 1961, 2 and 4-door hardtops and a 4-door sedan. Chrysler brought out a new entry level model underneath the Windsor and named it 'Newport' (this name was previously given to hardtops).
