Daimler 250 V8
For the 1968 season Jaguar 'refreshed' the Mk2 range because the XJ replacement was not ready. Externally the cars received much thinner bumpers and the 'litre' names were dropped to become '240', '340' and '380'. In the same way the Daimler 2½litre V8 became the 250 V8. Whilst the Jaguars lost some equipment and were a lower specification, the Daimler was left intact and continued to sell until 1969.
