Delage DI
Louis Delage started assembling cars in France in 1905 and success led to with cars of 2, 4, 6, and 12 cylinders; A V12 10.5-litre Delage set the world speed record to 143.3 mph in 1923. More modest cars were better sellers and the 4-cylinder 2120cc Delage DI in 1923, which was upgraded to overhead valves in 1924, and later enlarged to 2.4-litres. In 1924 the DIS was announced ('Sport') and the DISS ('Super Sport') with power upgraded to 50bhp. The DI was replaced by the 6-cylinder Delage DM in 1928.

Delage DIS 1926 Phizackerley. Isaac Phizackerley had premises in Elizabeth Street, Sydney, Australia. He was a bicycle manufacturer who enthusiastically took on the Motor Car when it arrived in Australia and became agent for a number of brands. He also had a coachbuilding business fitting out both cars and larger vehicles.
