Designer: Colin Neale Brother of Eric Neale (Jensen), Colin was working at Briggs Motor Bodies in the 1950s when Ford took over the company and made Colin chief stylist. The Ford Consul MkII, Zephyr/Zodiac MkII was his work. The Ford Consul Classic was styled under Colin Neale, with elements of the Ford Galaxie 500 and Lincoln Continental. By the early 1960s Colin had moved to Ford's headquarters in Dearborn and one of his projects became the catalyst for the Ford Mustang. Colin Neale also worked on the 1961 Lincoln Continental, eventually launched with 'suicide' rear doors. By 1970 Colin Neale was working on the Dodge Challenger. |
