Named after its 116 inch wheelbase, the Dodge 116 was produced from 1923 to 1926, but its heritage went back to the 1914 Model 30. Otherwise the most 'interesting' developments of the 116 were single-piece windshields and windscreen wipers. Steel wheels or wooden wheels could be chosen. The Dodge Brothers 116 was powered by a 3,479cc 4-cylinder L-head sidevalve engine. Dodge Brothers offered some all-steel bodies for the first time. In 1926 the Dodge 126 replaced it as an updated car still with 116-inches and a four cylinder engine. The Dodge Six was announced in 1927 using a 116-inch wheelbase and given a 3,409cc inline six. For the final year of the Dodge Brothers 4-cylinder engine, Dodge introduced the Fast Four in 1927 on a shortened 108-inch chassis.
