Dodge D24 and D25 1946-49
Chrysler introduced its new models for the 1946 model year, and amongst these were the Dodge D24 range and the lower-priced Plymouth P15. Plymouths were sold in Deluxe and Special Deluxe, whilst Dodge was sold as Deluxe and Custom. There was also a Dodge 25 built both in America and in Canada which was essentially a Plymouth P15 with Dodge D24 front end and sharing the P15 117-inch wheelbase against the 119.5-inch of the Dodge D24. The D25 was sold as the 'Special Deluxe' and power came from a 3.6-litre Flathead six cylinder engine, whereas the D24 had the Chrysler 3,772cc unit. Production continued until the new 1949 models were announced.
