The Facel Vega FV1 was launched in 1954 with a body designed by Jean Daninos, and a chassis engineered by Lance Macklin. The HK500 was launched in 1959, again designed by Daninos, and now powered by a Chrysler Typhoon 5,913cc V8, which would be upgraded to 6,277cc. The body was built on a 104.7-inch chassis and was produced only as a 2-door coupe; 400 were sold.
