BMC Fatih (Turkey)
A BMC company was started in Turkey in 1964 building Austin and Morris vehicles under licence, before concentrating on trucks from 1966, and producing its own designs from 1989. BMC introduced diesel engines to its trucks in 1976, and in 1985 the BMC Fatih trucks were launched with Cummins diesel power and cabs derived from the Leyland G-series design. Cukurova Holdings bought out BMC in 1989 and engaged Pininfarina to provide a modern truck cab.
