Ferrari Enzo
When the Ferrari Enzo went into production in 2002, Ken Okuyama the Pininfarina designer had already moved to California. Designed to be a 'Formula One car for the road', its development involved Michael Scumacher. The innovative body design set out to achieve good aerodynamics and down force without unsightly rear wings, which it did. The Enzo was a tribute to Enzo Ferrari and followed in the tradition of specials that had included the 288GTO, F40 and F50. The Enzo is powered by a new 5998cc V12 engine of 651bhp. Only 400 Enzos were built to hand chosen customers and all cars were sold prior to production starting in 2003.
