Ferrari 365 GTC/4 Using a Ferrari Daytona chassis and engine, the GTC/4 replaced the 365 GT 2+2 from 1971-2. The design of the 365 GTC/4 is attributed to Filippo Sapino. The shape was controversial, and was nicknamed 'Il Gobbone' (The hunchback, or banana) on account of the rising waistline, but Pininfarina's new wind tunnel was used to proof it. A 4390cc Colombo V12 drove the 365 GTC/4, but was detuned from that in the Daytona. Sold from 1971-72, 500 were produced. |
