Ford moved the Fairlane to a 115.5-inch wheelbase for 1962, above the 109.5-inch Falcon and below the 119-inch Galaxie. The Fairlane now had a unibody, offered in 2-door and 4-door sedan styles, with a Sport Coupe offered later and a pillarless coupe from 1963. A 4-door station wagon was available as the Ranch Wagon, and for 1963 only as the Squire wagon with wood trim. For 1966 a new Fairlane was introduced revised to have the same styling as was given to the larger Fords in 1965.
