For 1960 the Galaxie was redesigned, and went onto a 119-inch chassis, and ended up 6-inches longer and 5-inches wider. Power came from the Mileage Maker Six or from seven different V8 engines. Amomgst the notable bodies were the Sunliner convertible, and an amazing Starliner fastback coupe which only lasted one season. But Ford changed the Galaxie again for 1961 and shrunk its length by 4-inches.
