Heinkel 200. In 1955 Ernst Heinkel designed the Kabine to compete with the BMW Isetta. The Heinkel 150 had a 175cc one cylinder engine and sales started in UK in 1956. For 1956 the 200 Model was introduced with 204cc engine, and from 1957 with 198cc engine. From 1958-62 Dundalk Engineering in Eire built the Kabine after Heinkel sold out to resume aircraft production. From 1962-65 Trojan Cars built the Heinkel 200 (badged 'Trojan'), the Trojan company having come under the ownership of Lambretta distributor Peter Agg in 1959. The Mini and other cheap small cars effectively killed off the Bubble Car. |
