Jensen Interceptor 1971-1993
In March 1974 Jensen launched the convertible Interceptor, one of the first luxury convertibles on the American market once the threat to outlaw such cars had gone away. 467 were sold. The Coupe was a roofed convertible, the top being made by Panther Cars and using a Jaguar XJ6 rear screen. The Coupe was launched at Earls Court in 1975, but only 54 were built before receivership. Jensen Interceptor production restarted in 1986 after new management gained the rights to the Interceptor. Production was very limited as the cars were hand built and sometimes called 'Interceptor III S4' or 'Interceptor IV'. A new 5.9-litre Chrysler V8 was fitted as the original engine was no longer available. The last Interceptor appears to have been produced in 1993 in spite of several reports of revival.

Jensen Interceptor III convertible. Launched at the Geneva Salon in 1974 the convertible SIII topped the Jensen range until its demise in 1976 after sales of 500. It seems likely that Tourings original design had a convertible variant, but it was Jensen's Kevin Beattie who took the idea into production.

Jensen Coupe. Launched at the London Motor Show 1975 when Jensen Motors was already in receivership, the Coupe was not so much a new model as a variation. In fact Coupes were built up as convertibles and then sent to Panther for the top to be put on. About 54 Coupes were made.
