Lagonda 14/60 and 2-litre Lagonda introduced the 14/60 to replace the 12/24 at the 1925 London Motor Show, with a 1954cc dohc 4-cylinder engine. After the Speed model was introduced in 1927, the model became known as the '2-litre'. Prior to 1929 2-litres were known as 'high chassis' from the way the front brakes were constructed, and 'low chassis' afterwards. In 1930 a Supercharged 2-litre was introduced, and then the unblown 2-litre Continental with a steel body. The Continental chassis became the basis of the 1932 16/80 model which used a 1991cc Crossley 6-cylinder engine. |
