Lanchester Fourteen LA14
Daimler introduced the LA14 in 1936 giving it a new 1527cc 6-cylinder engine fitted into a chassis derived from the Lanchester Eleven. A new six cylinder 1527cc ohv engine was given to the LA14. In the tradition of Lanchester it was also given a fluid flywheel and Wilson preselector gearbox. Daimler also launched a very similar E20 model but this had a larger engine. In October 1937 the Roadrider 2 replaced the Roadrider, now with independent front suspension and the engine enlarged to 1809cc. The Series II had much curvier bodywork and would be replaced by the new Lanchester Fourteen/Leda in 1950.
