Lancia Aurelia Berlina
descript=The Aurelia was launched in 1950 and had the first ever production V6 engine. B10 Aurelias had a 1754cc V6, B20 a 1991cc V6, and later there was 2451cc V6. Francesco De Virgilio did the V6 engine with Vittorio Jano the chassis. The B10 Berlina was a 4-door saloon car with 1754cc engine, and in 1951 the B21 was given a 1991cc V6. For 1952 an Aurelia Series II was announced with minor styling changes and an 80bhp version of the 1991cc V6, and there was also a twin carb 90bhp version. From the Series III cars announced in 1953 the engine grew to 2451cc and the body lost its tailfins. Series IV cars were given De Dion rear suspension and there were changes to the engine. Aurelias were replaced by the Lancia Flaminia after 1956, which took the engineering even further.
