Lister Costin
The Lister 'Knobbly' had one big failing and that was high speed stability, so in 1959 Frank Costin was engaged to give the Lister a lower more aerodynamic body and the 'Lister-Costin' was born. In 1963 an existing Lister with spaceframe chassis was taken back to Brian Lister to be transformed into a closed GT car for entry in the 1963 24 heures du Mans. In testing the car proved faster than other Listers but did not meet its design brief. There was not enough time to properly prepare the car, but it did take the start line at the race and performed respectably until mechanical failure caused it to retire.
