MG V-Type
The V-type (or MG 1½litre) followed in 1936 the larger but similar looking MG SA saloon. Actually based on components shared with the Morris and Wolseley Twelves, it used a 1548cc ohv engine. There were three body styles, but MG's attempt to move into SS ('Jaguar') territory was not continued after the War.

MG VA Tourer. Almost a scaled down version of the large MG SA, the VA was launched in 1937. Using a 1548cc TPBG also used in the Wolseley 12/48 and the Wolseley 12, the MG VA was tuned to give 54bhp.
