y Ferdinando Innocenti gained a contract in 1961 to build BMC products such as the Mini, 100 and Sprite cars. Innocenti started manufacturing the Mini Minor 850 in 1965, and in 1966 Cooper versions and the Traveller ('t') model completed the range. From 1968 the Innocenti Minis took on the MkII revisions of the British Mini, and the MkIII revisions from 1970. In 1974 Innocenti introduced the Mini 90/120 range which had a new body from Bertone on standard Mini mechanics. That year British Leyland faced bankruptcy and sold Innocenti to DeTomaso.
