Porsche 911 (953)
Sometimes called the 'Porsche 911 4x4', the Porsche 911 was the first four wheel drive 911. It was a short-lived model only designed to compete in one event, the 1984 Paris-Dakar desert rally, which it won. It was powered by a 3.2litre boxer six engine and had mechanical four wheel drive. Lessons learned on this car were taken forward for the 959 project.
