The Camargue was launched in March 1975, and became the most expensive Rolls-Royce at the time. Mechanically it was the same as the Silver Shadow. Paolo Martin designed the Rolls-Royce Camargue which was launched in 1975, although the design may date back to a Bentley special from 1968 which he also designed. Mulliner Park Ward built the Pininfarina-designed Camargue from 1975 to 1986, 530 were sold.
