SEAT Fura and 127
From 1972 Seat produced the 127 model at its Barcelona factory. Uniquely Seat produced a 4-door (non-hatch) version and then a 5-door (hatched) version for the Spanish market. Seat and Fiat parted ways in 1981, at the time of the Series 3 launch of the 127. Seat launched this version as the 'Seat Fura' with all the Fiat restyling, but sold it only as 3-door or 5-door hatchbacks. Whilst Fiat offered several different engines, the Seat Fura had to make way for a very non-furious 903cc. A mild facelift was given in 1983 with Seat now under VAG ownership.
