Fiat introduced the 508 Balilla at the Salon di Milano in 1932 with a 995cc 4-cylinder engine. It was produced in France by SAFAF (Societe Anonyme pour la fabrication en France des Automobiles Fiat) and simply badged 'Fiat' until Simca was set up in 1937. The Balilla was a 6CV car offered as 2-door berline, Spider, Coupe, Cabriolet and Camioncino. There was a restyle in 1933 and again in 1935, and in 1937 the Simca 8 replaced Simca 6.
