Singer Nine, Singer Bantam
The Singer Nine evolved out of the 1927 Singer Junior which was powered by an 848cc ohc, and became the 972cc Singer Nine in 1932. From 1935 the Singer Bantam took over from the Nine and was upgraded to a 1074cc engine in 1937. This larger-engined Bantam was the basis for the 1939 Singer Nine Roadster which continued development until 1952
