The Hillman Avenger was designed under Roy Axe and launched in 1970. In 1976 Avengers were re-badged 'Chrysler' and re-styled losing their 'bent' rear lights. In 1979 the 'Talbot' badge was given to the Avenger, but within a year production stopped.
