Triumph Courier Van In 1961 the Triumph Herald Estate was added to the Herald range and a Van version in 1962 named the Triumph Courier. In fact all the Heralds were the same and the Giovanni Michelotti design had interchangeable upper bodywork. In April 1961 the Herald 1200 was launched with the engine enlarged to 1147cc and white rubber bumpers given; The Herald continued as the 1200 and 12/50 versions until the 13/60 model was launched in 1967 with a restyled bonnet and engine enlarged to 1297cc. Herald 13/60 Estate versions sold until 1971, but the Triumph Courier was removed from the British market in 1964 although it continued in Malta and other British outposts. |
