Wolseley 4/44, 15/50
Gerald Palmer's stylish bodywork for Wolseley's monocoque saloon. The 4/44 had an MG sibling, the ZA, which confusingly had a BMC B-series engine unlike the MG-engined Wolseley. Both cars were revised in 1956 gaining a 56bhp B-series engine and becoming the MG ZB and the Wolseley 15/50.

Wolseley 4/44. The Wolseley 4/44 and MG ZA Magnette designs were just being finalised as BMC was created out of Austin and Morris. The 4/44 was launched with an old Morris engine, and was later re-engined with a B-series unit to become the 15/50.

Wolseley 15/50. Launched in 1956, the 15/50 was an update of the 4/44, but the elegant lines of Palmer's bodywork were hardly changed.

Wolseley 4/44. Both the Wolseley 4/44 and the MG Magnette were designed by Gerald Palmer who had earlier contributed to the MG Y-type and then designed the Javelin for Jowett before being persuaded to return to Nuffield for this car.

Wolseley 15/50. Launched in 1956, the 15/50 was an update of the 4/44 using a 1489cc version of the B-series engine in place of the MG-derived engine (which was never fitted to the MG sibling, the ZA/ZB)
