Wolseley 10/40 and Wolseley Ten The Wolseley 10/40 Series II was launched in 1936 with an overhead valve version of the Morris 1292cc 4-cylinder engine. This engine was also used in tuned form in the MG Midget. It shared its 8ft 4inches chassis with the Wolseley 12/48. The body closely resembled the 12/48 and the Morris 10/4, but Wolseley built its own bodies separately from Morris. In 1937 the Wolseley 10/40 was discontinued and it was 1939 before the 'New Ten' was launched based on the Morris Ten Series M with an 1140cc engine. |
